The Cummins DFEK QSX15-G9 diesel generator is a new, robust solution offering 500 kW, with a prime rating of 455 kW, ideal for standby power needs. Expected to arrive on November 3, 2025, this generator features a QSX15-G9 engine with 755 HP, operating at 1800 RPM, and meets EPA Tier 2 emissions standards. It supports a 3-phase power configuration of 277/480V and offers 12 lead reconnections for other voltages. The unit includes an 800 Amp 100% rated main-line circuit breaker, PMG permanent magnet generator, and a PowerCommand 2.3 digital control panel. Designed for high performance, the generator includes an engine cooling radiator for temperatures up to 50C/122F and a sound attenuated enclosure suitable for wind speeds up to 150 MPH. It features an 869-gallon UL142 sub-base fuel tank with secondary containment, ensuring safety and reliability. Despite its heavy-duty nature, it maintains reduced noise levels with level 2 sound attenuation. Measuring 86 inches wide, 222 inches long, and 117 inches high, this generator weighs 17,996 lbs.
